| KENNETH FRANCIS PEARSON |
Kenneth Francis Pearson has been writing poetry and songs for over 17 years. His observations of everyday, ordinary life documents a level of consciousness to achieve an emotionally therapeutic and healing journey. A passionate reader of cutting edge works, Kenneth's words reflect that edge in his writing. Kenneth is the author of two collections of poetry. The first, titled THE OLD LEATHER ROOM (Cyberwit, 2004), is a dramatic account of Kenneth's external perceptions from the years of 1997 - 2004. The second, titled WATER FALLS IN AUTUMN (Amarcord Press, May 2007), recounts Kenneth's days post-outpatient rehabilitation for alcoholism. The poems reflect his inner emotions and matured perceptions of everyday life. Kenneth's writing peels away the thin skin to reveal the deep darkness and radiant light that we all carry within ourselves in one way or another. Kenneth's influences include Jack Kerouac, E.E. Cummings, Charles Bukowski, Pablo Neruda, Shawn Mullins, Jim Morrison, Nikolai Gogol, Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoefsky, William Carlos Williams, Billy Collins, Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Neal Cassady, J.D. Salinger, Robert Creeley, Robert Pinsky, Sylvia Plath, Donald Barthelme, Ray Bradbury, George Orwell, Richard T. O'Brien, the Che Poets, and many others.
